What if the hire doesn't work out?
Summit provides a 90-day replacement guarantee. If the hire departs or is let go within 90 days of their start date for any reason, we will conduct a full replacement search at no additional fee. You'll only pay the original placement fee once.
Do you work on retained or contingency?
Contingency only. You pay nothing until you make a hire you want to make. We invest our time and resources upfront because we're confident in our pipeline and our process. If we don't deliver, you owe us nothing.
How fast can you fill a role?
For pre-cleared roles in defense and government contracting, our average time from intake to hire is 41–60 days. This is possible because we maintain an active pipeline of pre-cleared candidates — we're not starting from scratch when you call. Complex or highly specialized roles may take longer.
What clearance levels do you work with?
We primarily place candidates with Secret, Top Secret, and TS/SCI clearances. We do not work with uncleared roles in our Phase 1 defense vertical — the value we provide is specifically the pre-cleared pipeline. Adjudicated candidates with active clearances only.
Do you work nationwide?
Yes. Summit is a remote-first operation and places talent across the United States. We work with defense contractors, government agencies, and commercial companies in all 50 states. Our candidate pipeline spans every major defense contracting hub — Northern Virginia, San Diego, Huntsville, Colorado Springs, and beyond.
What roles do you NOT fill?
Summit does not work on roles with a base salary below $100,000. We are an executive and senior professional search firm — not a temp agency or general staffing firm. We also do not currently work in industries outside our four verticals: Defense/Gov Contracting, Technology, Finance & Accounting, and Medical.
